Newspaper Routes | Internships | How to Apply
The Winston-Salem Journal is an equal opportunity employer. The Journal does not tolerate discrimination against any person because of nationality, race, color, gender, age, disability or on any other unlawful basis.
The Journal is committed to diversity in the workplace and promotes a drug-free work environment. Offers of employment with the Journal are contingent upon your passing a drug screening test. All applicants are tested before they may begin work.
Newspaper routes are seven days a week. Our company policy is that all newspapers must be delivered by 6 a.m. Monday-Saturday and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. Carriers are responsible for all supplies (plastic bags). These are purchased from the Journal office.
You must have dependable transportation and insurance on your vehicle. If there are customers paying the carrier, you are responsible for the collection. Pay depends on amount of newspapers delivered.
If you have questions and would be interested in a route in Forsyth County, please call Keith Sizemore, city circulation manager, at (336) 727-7280 or e-mail him. If you live outside Forsyth County, please call Tim Felton, state circulation manager, at (336) 727-7459 or e-mail him.
