Tyler Lewis can add another level of prestige to his game. Lewis was one of 24 basketball players from around the country selected Thursday to play in the McDonald’s All-American game. He is on the East team with players from New York to Kansas to Georgia.
Lewis and Oak Hill are in Ashville tonight to face Veritas Christian. The point guard is the only player from Oak Hill selected to play in this year’s game.
Lewis is one of three N.C. State signees named to the McDonald’s All-American rosters. Other signees representing the Wolfpack are Rodney Purvis from Upper Room Christian in Raleigh and T.J. Warren from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. Warren is from Durham.
Oak Hill alumni selected to play in the McDonald’s All-American include Carmelo Anthony, Josh Smith and Jerry Stackhouse.
