Thank you for your interest in announcing your special occasion in the Statesville Record & Landmark. Celebrations announcements include engagements, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, five generations and births. Celebrations announcements are published in the Crossroads section of each Sunday edition of the Statesville Record & Landmark. Listed below you will find information on sizes, pricing, contact information, instructions on how to submit your announcement, payment options, and links to forms and size examples.

SPECIAL PRICING

Wedding Anniversaries

For years 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70 – A complimentary (2 col. x 4”) announcement is available at NO CHARGE and Sizes B-D are HALF OFF the regular Celebrations pricing. All other years: A 2 col. x 4” size is $57.50 and Sizes B-E are regular price.

Birthdays

For a 100^th birthday, a complimentary (2 col. X 4”) announcement is available at NO CHARGE and Sizes B-E are HALF OFF the regular Celebrations pricing. For all other years, Sizes A-E are regular price.

Five Generations

A complimentary (2 col. x 4”) announcement is available at NO CHARGE. Sizes B-E are regular price.

Birth Announcements

The Statesville Record & Landmark news department publishes complimentary birth announcements from local hospitals, including Iredell Memorial Hospital, Davis Regional Medical Center and Lake Norman Regional Medical. For a larger announcement including the baby’s photo you may purchase a Celebrations announcement. (Baby’s birth certificate must be presented before publication.)

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR CELEBRATIONS ANNOUNCEMENT

Information, photo and payment must be received by Monday at 4:00 p.m. two weeks prior to desired date of publication. A publication date for your announcement cannot be assigned until these items are received.
Please include your daytime phone number and email address. A draft of your announcement will be emailed to the address provided for your review and approval before publication.

Print out your form and fill in the desired information. The form may be scanned and emailed, faxed, mailed (ATTN: Celebrations), or returned to our office. You may also use the form as a guideline and type your information directly into an email. All contact information is listed below.

PHOTOS

You may send your color or black and white photo as an attachment with your email (JPEG or TIFF format preferred) or mail or bring a copy by our office. All announcements may include a color photo at no extra charge.If your photo was taken by a professional photographer, you may wish to include their name and business name to be included in a photo credit. Picture size will vary according to the amount of text. To have your photo returned by mail, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope or you may pick the photo up at the office after publication.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Payment by credit/debit card can be placed by phone or a cash or check payment may be made at the office or by mail.

DISCOUNTED COPIES

Additional copies of the edition your announcement publishes in may be purchased at a discounted price at the time payment is made for your announcement. Add $4 for 10 copies or $8 for 20 copies. Newspapers must be picked up at the office within two weeks after publication date.
