Trees, power lines fall in Troutman

High winds downed trees and power lines Wednesday across Iredell County, but the most significant wind damage came in Troutman, where a large awning at a gas station was ripped off its support posts.
The awning dangled loosely from its posts Wednesday afternoon at the BP Station at the Fairgrounds Shopping Center.
