West Iredell kept pace with Statesville for the first half Saturday, but the Greyhounds exploded for 22 points in the third quarter to win 56-35.
Simone Parker led all scorers with 24 points as Statesville improved to 11-8 overall and 7-2 in North Piedmont 3A play. Fellow senior Janitsha Williams added 15 points.
Sara Marshall continued her tough play of late with 18 points for the Warriors (1-18, 0-10).
Alisha Tuttle added five points and pulled down 10 rebounds while teammate Chelsea Ellis finished with eight rebounds and three blocks.
West Iredell hosts North Iredell (13-2, 8-0) on Monday while the Greyhounds travel to South Rowan.
