DAVIDSON - Statesville Christian clinched the victory in singles play and downed Davidson Day 7-2 on Monday.

The Lions (5-2) won five singles matches to officially claim the win before taking two doubles matches.

Ali Burgiss (6-0, 6-1) won big, and Madolyn Essary, Kayla Revelle, Kristin Marchese and Abby Caudle also won in singles play.
