Charlotte Catholic breezed to a 9-0 win over Statesville Christian on Thursday.

The Lions did challenge for wins against the top-ranked 3A team in the state but were unable to pull out a victory in any match.

Dianna Castano and Ali Burgiss almost gave SCS (4-2) a win at No. 1 doubles, but they lost 10-8 in a tiebreaker to fall 9-8.
