West Iredell's P.J. Clyburn has been selected to play in the 73rd annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
The 44-man rosters for the North Carolina and South Carolina teams were released Thursday.
Clyburn, a senior with multiple Division I colleges seeking his services, has been tabbed as a linebacker for the North Carolina team.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder is the third West Iredell player picked to play in the game in the last five years and the fourth all-time. Former Warriors running back Bobby Morrison played in the 2007 game and was named N.C.'s most valuable offensive player.
This year's Shrine Bowl game is scheduled for 1 p.m. Dec. 19 in Spartanburg, S.C., at Wofford College's Gibbs Stadium.
Tickets will be available beginning Nov. 16 at all BI-LO stores in North and South Carolina.
