North soccer closes season with victory

MT. ULLA - North Iredell held up its end of the bargain.

Tied with Statesville for first place in North Piedmont play, the Raiders earned a share of the NPC title with Wednesday's 5-2 win over West Rowan in the regular season finale.

Keenan Watson scored twice to lead the Raiders (14-5, 10-2). Tyler Lowry, Tony Mendoza and Tyler Watson all scored as well.

Tyler Watson, Mendoza and Roger Vargas all ended up with assists in the critical North Iredell victory.
