Statesville's season drew to a close Saturday, as Weddington defeated the Greyhounds 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-14) in the first round of the 3A state playoffs.

Joni Henderson had 11 digs and five kills to lead the Greyhounds (7-17).

Shaneka Harvey assisted 10 kills and made seven digs, and Janitsha Williams contributed with 13 digs and four kills.
