GASTONIA - Statesville Christian exacted a measure of revenge Monday by downing Gaston Day 3-1 in the South Piedmont Athletic Association tournament semifinals.

The Lions lost twice to Gaston Day by one goal earlier in the season.

Garrison Dale, Daniel Willis and Dillon Makar all scored for the Lions, who are seeded third in the conference.

Blake Dunlap added an assist for Statesville Christian, which plays United Faith today in the tournament championship.
