Quarterback Patrick O'Brien threw two touchdown passes to Dalton Pierce, but they weren't enough to prevent Mooresvlle from falling, 42-21, to Hopewell Friday night in high school football.

Meanwhile, a 99-yard return of a fumble proved the game's only scoring as Lake Norman tumbled at home against Charlotte Vance, 7-0.
