South Iredell officially learned its matchups for the both the volleyball and girls tennis Catawba Valley Athletic Conference tournaments at Wednesday meetings.

In the 16-player singles tournament in girls tennis, senior Lauryn Justice is seeded No. 2 overall and will play Bunker Hill's Lacy Ballard.

Ballard is the No. 2 player for the Bears.

Justice racked up an impressive amount of wins during the season, losing just twice to Draughn's Audrey Zopp, who is the No. 1 overall seed.

South Iredell's other singles player, Lauren Beatty, will play Jessica Compton in the first round.

Should Beatty prevail, she would likely play Zopp in the second round.

In the doubles bracket, Savanna Baxter and Madison McCoy drew Bandys players Kelly Kruse and Brandi Edmonson.

The Vikings tandem of Megan Kelly and Shannon Goff will open against No. 5 seed Tiffany Cook and Rachel Crump of East Burke.

In volleyball, the Vikings earned the No. 6 seed and will play No. 3 East Burke at 7 p.m. today in Icard.
