Tickets are selling fast for 2nd Annual Holiday Victorian Tea Parties that will be held at the Sharpe House, Dec. 9-12. Last year's event was a sellout.
Guests will be treated to sweets, savories, scones and tea while listening to music performed by local artists. This historic home will be magnificently decorated for the holidays by local designers--Farm House Gardeners, Lake Norman Gardens, Moore Buds & Bows, and Sherl Reindollar-Design Consultant. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase many of the decorations.
"We are excited about the event. It's a great venue for celebrating the holidays with friends, family, or co-workers, said Susan Tolle, event chairperson. "This year we're starting on Wednesday and adding another parlor so we can accommodate more guests since we sold out last year."
There will be candlelight teas at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, Thursday, Dec. 10, and Friday, Dec. 11. Holiday teas will be at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11 and Saturday, Dec. 12.
Tickets are $25 for Holiday Teas and $28 for Candlelight Teas ($20 tax deductible) for adults and $15 ($10 deductible) for children 10 and under. Proceeds directly benefit the agencies of the United Way of Iredell County. Reservations are required. Deadline for tickets is Dec. 1.
"We have already had a tremendous response to our ticket sales, many from individuals who attended last year," said Debbie Howell, resource development director for the United Way of Iredell County and member of the event committee. "We also have over 100 volunteers donating their time to help!"
