Lake Norman's boys soccer team lost in the second round of the 4A playoffs to Olympic.

It was the first time since 2005 the Wildcats haven't advanced to their classification's regional final.

Lake Norman won back-to-back 3A state titles in 2006-07 and reached the 3A West Regional final last year before losing to eventual state champion Charlotte Catholic 2-1.
