Details for Statesville Christmas Parade announced

Plans are being made for the Statesville 2009 Christmas Parade. Sponsored this year by the 30th Masonic District of North Carolina. It will be Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. with the line-up to begin at 1:30 p.m. The parade will follow its usual route beginning on Center Street at Bell Street and proceeding north on Center Street to Statesville Senior High School area.
The masons are selling floats for $450. The floats are already assembled and can hold 12 to 15 riders. The sponsor's name is displayed on both sides of the float. Companies that wish to participate with their own entry may do so for a fee of $75.
All church, civic and school organizations have no fee to participate in the parade, but still need to complete an entry form. Other individual entries such as show cars, Out of County Queens, etc, should contact AL Jones or Jerry Campbell.
