A 20-year-old Troutman man faces charges of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.
Dustin Wayne Sloter was charged with statutory rape, statutory sex offense and indecent liberties with a child.
Iredell County Sheriff Phil Redmond said the 15-year-old girl came to the sheriff's office on Oct. 20 and said she'd been sexually assaulted at a home in southern Iredell County on Oct. 10 and 11.
Detective Sgt. Bill Hamby of the Special Victim's Unit began an investigation. The girl was taken to the Dove House Child Advocacy Center to be interviewed.
Hamby and Detective Sgt. Brian Fink conducted several other interviews.
Hamby obtained warrants on Sloter and he was arrested. His bond was set at $50,000.
