Local artist's work on display

Shirley Rico, local watercolor artist, is being honored by an exhibit of her work at Soiree Restaurant on March 26 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Studying the works of Manet, Mary Cassatt, Tarkay and Peter Max, Rico, a new artist, has developed a unique styld using many layers of watercolor to create vibrant color, which is a distinction of her work.
The public is invited to this exhibit, sponsored by Ladies of Normandy Road. There will be refreshments and a cash bar. One of Rico's framed prints will be given away during the evening. tickets are $10. RSVP to Gwen Sink, 321 Normandy Road, Mooresville, NC 28227 by March 20.
