MANNS HARBOR, N.C. - North Carolina ferry customers will soon be able to order advanced tickets for toll ferries online.
The state Transportation Department said Friday that beginning March 18, tickets can be purchased online, in addition to being purchased by phone.
Toll ferries that accept reservations include Cedar Island, Swan Quarter and Ocracoke. Fees one-way are $15, $30 and $45.
Commuter passes will also be made available for purchase online beginning March 18. The windshield sticker will be applied at a ferry terminal when the driver presents an online receipt.
