Former Raider signs with ETSU

Former North Iredell standout Santana Morrison has signed with East Tennessee State and will begin playing for the Buccaneers women's basketball team next season.
A 5-foot-9 forward, Morrison played three seasons at North Iredell before transferring toWinston-Salem Preparatory Academy as a senior.
After averaging 18 points and 12 rebounds her junior year with the Raiders, Morrison posted 16.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.6 steals with the Phoenix.
The Statesville native scored double figures in all but one of the 25 games played this past season, including a season-best 30 points in the win over Cherokee on Jan. 10.
"Santana is an incredibly strong player and will see most of her time at the three," East Tennessee State coach Karen Kemp said. "She can either beat a defender with her inside post moves or by using her quick first step to drive to the basket."
