Freedom Christian Center

Mooresville City Church

Williamson's Chapel UMC

The January Ever Ready lunch at the church will be on the Jan. 13 at 10:30 a.m.
Mission project is to bring sugar-free candy and cookies, lotion, etc. for area nursing homes.

Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church, 575 Brawley School Road, is offering a new Saturday service at the church at 6 p.m. "Connexion" has begun, and offers contemporary music, Bible messages and the opportunity to make new friends and worship Christ in a casual, friendly community. The singles ministry at Williamsons Chapel has ongoing events including: coffee time to welcome and visit with singles between services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays in the old parlor A from 10:45-11:15 a.m.; Bible study which meets Wednesdays from 7-8:30 p.m. in Room B201. Childcare is provided. No reservations are needed; Members work on a Habitat for Humanity program the first and third Saturdays of each month. Fieldstone Presbyterian

Fieldstone gathers for Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and for worship at 11 a.m. on Sundays and offers various activities throughout the week to deepen our spiritual walk. Anyone in the community is welcome to join for any or all of their events. Call to confirm time and location at 704-663-2188.

Studies will be held during the week as follows: Monday night study on "Mary, The Mother of Jesus" from 6-8 p.m.; Tuesday morning Bible Study on Revelation, from 10-11:30 a.m.; Wednesday night program, including children's choir, supper, Tonechimes, Adult Bible Study, and Children's Bible Study; Friday Night Theology on Tap at Beef O'Brady's from 6-8 p.m.; Couples' Bible study, the first Saturday of each month; and Spiritual Leadership Certificate Program, Sundays from 5-7 p.m.; Youth group meets twice per month.

The community is invited to join us for our weekly Hotdog Lunches, which are held every Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Donations are gladly accepted for this meal.

Broad St. UMC

On Sundays, the Rainbow Ringers practice at 4:30 p.m., the UM KIDS meet at 5:45 p.m., and the Mooresville Christian Kids Company meets from 5-5:45p.m.

On Wednesdays, the Master's Ringers meet at 5:30 p.m., the Joyful Ringers meet 6:30 p.m., and choir practice is also held at 6:30 p.m.

Broad Street is collecting winter coats and clothing for The House of Love and Deliverance, the Soup kitchen, and The Crisis Pregnancy Center. This will be an ongoing project through the winter months.

Coddle Creek ARP

The Sample Circle meets Thursday at 7 p.m.

A playgroup for moms and children is meeting on Fridays at 10 a.m. Contact Lisa Myers and Haley Bormann for more information.

The Coddle Creek cookbooks are available at a cost of $12 each.

A book exchange table is located in the foyer of the fellowship hall. All books can be had for 50 cents each. Proceeds will be divided between the Community Pregnancy Center and the Mooresville Area Bible Teachers' Association.

Covenant Kids meets on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. for supper, 6:30 p.m. for children's choir rehearsal and 7 p.m. for meetings.

A group is meeting each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. praying for the effort to plant a daughter congregation.

The youth groups meet at 5 p.m. on the second, third, fourth and fifth Sundays.

Southside Baptist

Southside Baptist Church is partnering with Habitat for Humanity on an interfaith project in Mooresville on Jan. 17. Southside will work alongside Lakeside Presbyterian Church installing interior trim for the current project located at 321 Lee Street. Southside will also be providing lunch for the site. The preteen and youth parent banquet will be on Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Jeffery's Restaurant. The cost is $12 for adults and $7 for students.

The Discovering Southside Class 101 will be each Sunday in January at 9:45 a.m. If you are a new member of Southside or if you are interested in membership, you are invited to attend.

In January a video series by Louie Giglio will be presented. On Jan. 11 – How Great is Our Lord; Jan. 18 – Hope Part I; Jan. 25 – Hope, Part II.

Celebrate Recovery meets each Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The sessions begin with a meal. Gino Cassano will be teaching on Jan. 8. There is a step study every Monday from 7-8 p.m. led by Jeff Rich.

Berea Baptist

Join on Wednesdays for family supper at 6 p.m., for Berea Kids at 6:30 p.m. and adult Bible study at 7 p.m.

Tapes of the worship services are available for shut-ins. Call the church office if you would like to receive the tapes.

The Women on Mission night group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month.

The youth group meets at 4:30 p.m. on the first, second and fourth Sundays.

Mommy and Me for all pre-schoolers and their moms meets Jan. 14 at 10 a.m.

The Heavenly Ringers youth bell choir practices in the old manse on Sundays at 3:30 p.m.

The Praise Choir practices at 7 p.m. on Mondays in the sanctuary.

On Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. the adult hand bell choir practices in the old manse, and at 7:45 p.m. the adult choir practices in the choir room.

Carl and Cassandra Larson are hosting a home fellowship meeting at 5 p.m. on Sundays. Patrick and Lori Neilsen host another group at the same time.

A midweek small group Bible study for 6th-8th grade boys is being organized.

An adult Bible study on Ezekiel, Daniel and Esther is underway with Chuck Peters leading the class.

Greater Harvest Reformed

Rev. David Olah is serving as pastor. Worship service is held at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, and Sunday school is at 10:45 a.m.

Huntersville ARP

The Covenant/McDowell Circle meets on Jan. 8 at 2:30 p.m. in the Lineberger Room.

B.I.G. F.I.S.H. resumes on Jan. 11.

The Women's Tuesday morning Bible study resumes Jan. 13.

Session meeting will be held on Jan. 12 at 7 p.m.

The deacons meet on Jan. 13 at 7 p.m.

Men's lunch – "Bible & Bologna" resumes Jan. 14.

Tree-To-Tree (T2T) - Wednesday night activities resume on Jan. 14. Pastor Crotts will be teaching a survey of every book of the Bible. The survey course will be called T2T (Tree to Tree). We will have the study each Wednesday at 7 p.m. with children's music during adult study time. Twice monthly dinners will be scheduled as well.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday will be observed Jan. 25. We will set up our annual display of crosses on the front lawn on Jan 24 at 9 a.m.

Officer Training will be held at First ARP Church Gastonia on Jan. 31. Dr. Mark Ross will be teaching on the "Keys to the Kingdom". Topics to be discussed include church discipline, admitting members, dismissing members, the Lord's Supper and baptism. If you are interested in attending, contact Pastor Crotts. All officers or aspiring officers are strongly encouraged to attend.

A congregational meeting will be held on Feb. 1 after worship.

The Lord's Supper will next be observed during worship on Feb. 8.

Mooresville ARP

On Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. the hand bell choir practices, and at 7:30 p.m. the adult choir rehearses.

A beginner's aerobic exercise class is held on Mondays and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Fitness instructor Amy Rankin is the leader.

The Session meets at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 1.

The Sunday evening youth groups are meeting.

The deacons meet on Jan. 18 at noon.

The ARPs will have lunch on Jan. 14 at noon in the Family Life Center.

Peninsula Baptist

Training is offered for our drama ministry on Mondays at 6:30 p.m.

The Women on Mission day Bible study group meets on Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. the fellowship Hall.

An ESL Class for Hispanics is being offered on Sundays at 9:45 a.m. at Brawley Middle School.

Park Ave. UMC

Today, Jan. 7 the Fellowship Meal will be held from 6-6:30 p.m. followed by children and youth groups from 6:30-8 p.m. and the adult Bible study, also from 6:30-8 p.m. and choir practice from 8-9 p.m.

On Jan. 9 there will be a chicken and dumpling dinner from 5-8 p.m. at the church, 648 W. Park Ave. Cost is $7.50 for adult and $4.50 per child.
