Chris North, special projects director for the N.C. Wildlife Federation, will discuss the North Carolina Wildlife Action Plan and how wildlife chapters and individuals can participate in it at the next free nature program of the Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists.

The program is from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the Mooresville Public Library, 304 S. Main St. The action plan was developed as a strategy to protect fish and wildlife species of each eco-region in North Carolina, from the mountains to the Piedmont and the coastal plain.

Attendees will find out how to get involved locally to protect high-priority species in the Lake Norman area and will get to network with fellow nature lovers and find opportunities to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends through a variety of projects.
