Just four days after officially opening its doors, Rocky River Elementary will welcome guests Saturday for a one-day fundraiser and celebration.
Held from 2-6 p.m. at the Rocky River Road school in Mooresville, the "Community Back to School Celebration" will feature inflatables, food, music and plenty of fun for families, said Principal Felicia Burgess.
As the school's first fundraiser – also possibly one of the biggest fundraisers planned for the new school year – guests of all ages throughout the community are invited to the celebration.
Burgess noted that the back-to-school festival is not limited to just RRE or Mooresville Graded School District families, but the entire town and neighboring communities are welcome to attend.
Armbands will be sold at the Saturday event, which will include all activities and food.
The price of admission is $10 per kid and $5 per adult. Burgess said a family of four can attend at a discounted price of $25. She added that no additional costs will be incurred at the celebration.
