The second of three people suspected of robbing an east Statesville convenience store last week has been identified.
Gabriel Hernandez Martinez, 31, of Mocksville, is being sought for two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Martinez is also known as Oso.
David Hernandez Rodriguez, 33, of Cooleemee, was captured within hours of the robbery after an extensive manhunt in Davie County.
A third man is being sought, and has not been identified.
Capt. Darren Campbell of the Iredell County Sheriff's Office said Rodriguez has not cooperated with authorities.
Campbell said three men came into the Tienda y Tortilleria store on Salisbury Highway at Shiloh Road last Thursday.
At gunpoint, they took money from the cash register and cash and belongings from a customer at the store, Campbell said.
A description of the vehicle, obtained through the store's surveillance system, was broadcast. A short time later, a Davie County sheriff's deputy spotted the car.
It wrecked in Davie County, and all three men jumped out and ran.
Rodriguez was flushed out and taken into custody.
Anyone with information on Martinez's whereabouts or the identity of the third suspect, can call the sheriff's office at (704) 878-3100.
