A Statesville man won $75,000 playing the lottery.
Albert A. Grimm won with the instant scratch off ticket "Harley-Davidson."
Other area winners include:
• A Charlotte woman won $100,000 instantly playing Diamonds & Gold. Essie Swindell scratched off her winning ticket at the Yorkmont BP in Charlotte where she purchased it. She told the NCEL it took an entire day before her cash prize started to sink in and she was still thinking about what to do with her winnings. Swindell kissed her check, worth $68,001.60 after taxes, before heading to the bank to deposit it.
• Catherine McGill Smith, of Charlotte, won $30,000 in the Aug. 12 Powerball drawing.
• Monte Meeks, of Charlotte, won $75,000 with the "World Series of Poker" scratch-off ticket.
• Chandra Davis, of Charlotte, won $50,000 with the "Jr. Big Ol' Bucks" scratch-off ticket.
