Deputies responding to a fight in progress Thursday instead found marijuana and cash, and charged a total of seven teens with drug charges.

Iredell County Sheriff Phil Redmond said deputies responded to 2706 E. Greenbriar Road about a fight.
When the first deputy arrived, he went to the front door, but didn't get an answer, Redmond said.

So he and other responding deputies went to the rear of the house, where they found the seven people seated around a table with several baggies of marijuana on it, Redmond said.

Within reach of one of the people was a Marlin 9mm rifle, Redmond said.

After securing the weapon and the marijuana, the deputies got a search warrant. Inside the house,
they found more marijuana, cash and pistol ammunition, Redmond said.

Hosea Michael Nichols, 17, of Statesville, Shannon Marie Baggerly, 16, of Stony Point, Jamie Alexander Grey, 18, of Mocksville, Maddison Tyanne Sigmon, 18, of Troutman, and Clifton Gerrod Mayfield II, 19, of Statesville, were all charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana.

Two other teens, Spenser Ahmad Jackson, 19, and Justin Marvas Wilson, 19, both of the Greenbriar Road address, were charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana and maintaining a dwelling to keep/sell controlled substances.
