Fort Mill, S.C. - The Iredell Warriors strengthened their playoff position Saturday with a 33-21 win over the Carolina Bulldogs.

Iredell (8-3) was boosted by the Mooresville contingent in the game, as four former Blue Devils scored for the Warriors.

Corey Alexander opened the team's scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to tie the game at 7-all. Former Mooresville High School backfield mate Monty Knox put the Warriors ahead 13-7 in the third quarter with a 6-yard run.

Carolina quickly retook the lead, but Roger Alexander put Iredell ahead for good with a 76-yard kickoff return for a score in the third.

Quarterback Alphonso Miller added a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter to make it 26-14, and linebacker LaRon Shipp returned a pick 53 yards for the team's final tally.

Iredell closes the regular season Saturday at Mooresville Stadium against High Point.
