Youth wrestling registration due by Nov. 7

The Statesville Recreation and Parks Department will hold registration for the 2008-09 Youth Wrestling Program from Oct. 13 through Nov. 7.
This program will run through the winter from December to February.
The Youth Wrestling Program is open to youth between the ages of 6-12 years. The age cut off date for the program is Oct. 15, 2008.
Registration for the Youth Wrestling Program will be accepted at the Statesville Recreation and Parks Department's Administrative Office at 450 Signal Hill Drive, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Participants may also register at Grace Park Recreation Center at 510 W. Bell St., as follows: Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Registration fees for the Youth Wrestling Program are $5 for city residents and $10 for persons living outside the Statesville city limits. A birth certificate will be required for any first year participant signing up for this program. All persons signing up after the Nov. 7 deadline will be required to pay an additional $5 late registration fee and may be put on a waiting list.
