Comedienne and author, Sally Franz, is slated to perform at the official gala at which Frances Richter will release her mystery novel, "Friend of the Firm."
The party will be held at 6 p.m. on Sept. 12, at Four Corners Framing and Gallery during Mooresville's monthly Art Walk. Admission is free and open to all.
Franz has appeared with Al Roker and Willard Scott on the "Today Show," hosts a weekly radio program and has produced and hosted over 150 cable interview and TV shows. An accomplished author, her list of humorous works include "The Baby Boomers Guide to Menopause: or how to have more fun than 36 hours of labor" and "The Knights of the Red Feather Labyrinth." Richter is an emerging author whose first completed novel, "Friend of the Firm," presents us with attractive lesbian and senior partner in an influential Charlotte law firm, Sheldon Bailey. In this thriller, Sheldon becomes entangled with an underground porn star who manipulates her surroundings and presents a facade of innocence. Sheldon clashes with her own flaws that threaten her reputation while diligently representing her client, whom she believes is innocent. Murder and duplicity surround Sheldon as she delves headlong into a fight to save her client and expose the killer.
