On Nov. 1, you can expect high energy performances all day long on Center Stage from The Scott Davis Band, Full Throttle Bluegrass Band and Joint Heir as they perform at the Sixth Annual Crossroads Pumpkin Fest.
The festival officially opens with the presentation of colors by Statesville High School's Junior ROTC and the National Anthem performed by Whitney James, Miss Statesville 2008.
The Scott Davis Band will take the stage from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. showcasing their country sounds with a little classic rock and beach music mixed in.
From 1–3 p.m. is the Full Throttle Bluegrass Band. This young local band is known for their blazing instrumentals and great duet harmonies.
Wrapping up the entertainment on Center Stage is another local band – Joint Heir. With a new name and a new sound, the members of the contemporary gospel band Joint Heir has a new CD – "An Intimate Encounter." Based out of Statesville, this high energy group – formerly known as Day One - has been on the scene for more than 10 years, using its musical talents and faith to tell the power of God's love.
Pumpkin Fest is a free event that is open to the public. Come out and enjoy the music all day long.
