The Iredell Warriors scored 23 points in the second half to break open a close halftime game and defeat the High Point Ravens 44-12 on Saturday.
In the regular season finale, Cam Simpson rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries to power the Warriors into the playoffs.
Alphonzo Miller also had a nice day for Iredell, passing for two touchdowns and running for another.
His 1-yard plunge in the third quarter put the Warriors up 35-12 after they led 21-12 at halftime. Roger Alexander returned a punt 56 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to finalize the scoring.
The Warriors (9-3 overall, 7-3 Central Carolina Football League) will open the playoffs Oct. 25 against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.
