The annual Morningside Alumni Scholarships were presented to Joshua O'Brian Byers and Phillip Raheem Caldwell.

Byers is the son of Neal and Tonya Murdock. He is the grandson of Kenneth and Lorna Byers and Evelyn Clarke and the late Leroy Murdock, Morningside alumni. He will attend Guilford Technical Community College and major in Graphic Design.

Caldwell is the son of Robert and Denise Caldwell. He is the grandson of Phillip and Mary Morrison, alumni of Morningside High School. He will attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. and major in Chemistry.

Two annual scholarships are available to students related to former students of Morningside High School.
