Barium Springs - BOYS BASKETBALL: Lake Norman 62, South Iredell 38

Lake Norman started slow before pulling away in the second half Friday in the 62-38 win over South Iredell.

The Wildcats (2-0) led just 20-18 at halftime but outscored the Vikings by 22 points after intermission. Paul Larsen poured in 21 points for Lake Norman, while Matt Denyes added 14.

Tracy Ramsey led the Vikings (0-1) with 11 points.
