Vikings split matches at tri-meet

Barium Springs - South Iredell's wrestling team is 1-1 after its first two matches of the season.
The Vikings dispatched Starmount 60-24 on Wednesday before dropping a contested match with Newton Foard 48-30.
Noah Childers (112 pounds), Xavier Clarke (119), Henry Bustle (145, 152) and Trey Isaac (Heavyweight) all won both their matches.
Isaac had a particularly impressive day. He finished with two pins, including one in 28 seconds against Starmount.
Josh Belk (160), Robert McDaniel (160), James Turner (171) and Ty Conley (215) all went 1-0 as well.
