BOYS BASKETBALL: East Gaston 55, Mooresville 52

MOORESVILLE — Behind Nick McRavion's 17 points, East Gaston rallied to beat Mooresville 55-52 in the teams' season opener Tuesday night.

Sophomore Isiah Johnson and freshman Shawn Lester led the Blue Devils with 19 and 13 points, respectively.

Chris Patterson chimed in with 11 points for Mooresville, which led 27-23.
