Members of the Lake Norman FFA Chapter were one of 48 teams competing in Indianapolis for the National FFA Horse Judging Career Development Event during the 81st National FFA Convention.
Students were honored with an awards banquet while in Indianapolis. Kali Cram earned 10th place for her class, placing with a score of 196 out of 200. The team overall earned silver for their accomplishments, while Sami Cram was awarded gold; and Zoie Randall, Jessica Sutton and Kali Cram all earned silver medals.
The Lake Norman/South Iredell FFA Alumni Chapter supported students by donating finances for their trip.
Participants evaluated eight classes of horses in performance and halter classes.
Competitors presented four oral reasons sets, defending their selections before a judge.
