A Ford pickup, towing a camper trailer, was traveling north when its driver felt the trailer begin to sway, Clark said. The driver lost control of the pickup, which struck the right-hand guardrail before traveling back across the interstate and into the median, where the trailer jackknifed and overturned.

Students from 12 local elementary schools learned about plants and animals at the first Wake Up to Agriculture Day at the Iredell County Fairgrounds.

The Presbyterian Home Band performed for the Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church in Mooresville yesterday. The group has been featured on UNC-TV's Our State on-air magazine. The band was started over 50 years ago by residents of the assisted living facility The Presbyterian Home of High Point. The instruments they use are made up of every day household items such as sink funnels, bottle, pipes, and more.

Greening the Curriculum, a program designed to make science fun and improve students' end-of-grade test scores, gave East Iredell Elementary students a chance to learn about force and motion.
